Ways to Include Loved Ones You’ve Lost on Your Wedding Day
It can be so difficult to celebrate knowing that you are missing some very special people in your life. These are a few ways to honor your loved ones who are no longer with you on your wedding day.
Wedding Program – Include an “In Loving Memory” or “We Remember” section in your wedding program. You can personalize with names or make a note encompassing all of those you are remembering.
Saved Seats – Reserve seats for your loved ones during the ceremony. Set a “Reserved in memory of” tent card or framed photo on the chair(s).
Light a Candle – Light a candle during the ceremony in memoriam.
Memorial Table – Set framed photos of lost loved ones on a table. Your venue may have a table or dresser for you to use. You can decorate with candles, flowers, and items that remind you of the person(s) you’re missing.
Bouquet – Carry a photo or keepsake such as a brooch, handkerchief, or other clothing item that connects you to your loved one(s).
Cufflinks – Wear cuff links engraved with your loved one’s initials.
Jewelry – Wear a piece of jewelry that once belonged to your love one or reminds you of them.
Music – Play a favorite song in memory of those lost during the reception.
Toast – Toast to those you are remembering with their favorite beverage(s).
You will know best how to honor the friends or family you who are missing <3
