Invitation Trend: Clear Acrylic Invitations
Acrylic invitations are a new gorgeous way to send your wedding details. Your guests will be wowed when they receive a transparent invitation in the mail. The sleek and sturdy clear acrylic is printed using UV printing, a technique that allows for a crisp, no-smudge print. It’s not just an invitation, it’s a keepsake!
I design custom clear acrylic invitations and also offer a selection of designs that can be personalized with your details. I wanted to share some of the most common questions I get about this style of invitation.
Q: How do you send acrylic invitations?
A: Acrylic invitations come with double invitation envelopes and will be sent in the same way you would send paper invitations. The acrylic will also include peel-away protective sheeting that should be removed from the front and back of the invitation prior to mailing to your guests. Extra postage is necessary.
Q: Is the respond card acrylic, too?
A: You have a choice of acrylic or paper response and reception cards. If you opt for the acrylic response card, your guests should use a permanent or paint marker to write in their information.
Q: What is the size of the acrylic?
A: Acrylic panels are available in multiple sizes.
6 3/4” x 4 3/4”, 5″ x 7 3/8″, 5” X 7” – great for save the dates, cards, and invitations
8” X 10”, 11” X 14” – excellent sizes for signs, picture frames, and use as a guest book
18” X 22” – welcome sign or seating chart worthy
Bride Idea: If you’re having trouble deciding between an acrylic invitation and a paper invitation, why not mix and match the styles? Use the acrylic for the invitation and the paper design for the respond and reception cards!
